Are you looking for a cold brew? Thirsty from the Florida sun? I was too, but ended up leaving Fat Point Brewery about 20 minutes after I left so I can eat and drink more. Don't get me wrong the one beer I did have was fantastic. I got a Fat Summer brew and it was a great light wheat beer. My boyfriend loves his IPA too. Overall they had an awesome selection of craft beers. The problem with this place was the service. I had a table with my cousins. It was just four of us, but we had to actually flag down the waitress multiple times just to order. They had no menus just a chalkboard to review so we had to get up and walk to it. The waitress didn't seem to even want to discuss beers with us and looked dramatically frazzled. When we asked about food she pointed us to yet another chalkboard menu. Across the room and through a crowd. Pizza and some apps. Here's a thought, menus if your wait staff doesn't feel like telling us what there is to eat. We were seriously annoyed and out beers were about out. Then we asked about the pizza to which she responded that there's a long wait to even get on the pizza list. "At least 45 min for pizza," she gasped. We were starving and decided to go someplace else. Again had to hunt down the waitress for the bill. She asked why, we told we were hungry, she laughed and said ok. Wow. Then invited us back on a Monday when they were slower. You know I love drinking on Mondays. Informing us that Friday's aren't usually this busy. I have news for you Fat Point Brewery, you should be prepared for crowds on 3 day weekends. This place has potential in this town, but need to create some menus, better staff coverage and look into more customer friendly staff.

I want to start off by saying I'm not giving Fat Point Brewery any stars, because I walked out because when I walked in I wasn't even acknowledged, the waitress walked by me 3 times, I know she saw me, but didn't bother to ask if I needed anything...the bartender actually looked over at me as well and nothing!, I was shocked..that was my first time there, I wanted to give it a try, I will not be returning, horrible service, I forgot to mention it was also hot as it possibly could be in there..no a/c or it wasn't working properly..I'm reading all the negative reviews in regards to service, you would think after reading the posts, changes would be made in waiting on people..

While the beer is good, the service is not. I've been here one time before and it was the same, slow service. While they were very busy, they only had two servers/waitresses covering the whole dining room, so I understand it wasn't our waitresses fault. The food was awesome. I got the Philly specialty pizza and my friend got a made-to-order pizza. Good decisions!! The menu is on the wall, so make sure to take a picture before you sit down. I asked a gentleman that worked there if there was any menus and he rudely pointed to the wall, so be warned. Big Boca is a great beer but my favorite Fat Point beer, is their seasonal Pumpka Gourda. Make sure to stop by and get one before they stop making it! Also, they have seating outside, which is nice at night with bistro lights, corn hole boards and giant jenga. Good times, good beer and okay service.

I'm by no means a beer drinker as I prefer wine, but I loved this place, ambiance and the beer I tried (similar to a Guinness which I loved). It's a breathe of fresh air in Punta Gorda with the modern feel. I'm from the Twin Cities and felt like this was an excellent place to visit while on vacation. Highly recommend!

Gotta love micro brews !! Lots of rotating taps. The place is a bit out of the way but worth seeking out. We decided to order a pizza. Very tasty and full of flavor. We'd go back.

Beer: decent for a new brewery. We prefer high ABV. They always have one. Service: We've been here many times and the bartenders are great. Until yesterday. Not knowing, I was standing in the wrong area to place an order to take to outside. I was not greeted but simply told to walk to the other side of the bar to place my order. Really? Suggestion: Take the customer's order and then inform them of the ordering protocol for next time. Food selection is inconsistent.

Great place to explore some nice nice local local brews. Jason the owner manager is a great host who makes things happen. My wife and I came here after a Tsmpa Bsy spring training game and enjoyed a great double IPA.

I had heard about this place so I hunted it down. Yeah, it's a bit off the beaten path, but that adds to the charm. I really enjoyed the Big Boca Ale. I also got a flight, and asked my server to select my beers. She chose Big Boca (which was odd since she had already served me a pint of Big Boca), Right Red -- a guest brew, Bru Man Chu -- theirs, and Summer Storm stout -- another guest brew. The only one I didn't enjoy was the Bru Man Chu, but that's just me. I could still taste that it was a quality brew, but I just didn't care for it. They have a very limited kitchen offering. Very limited. I had a choice of a 14" pizza and a fruit/cheese/meat platter. I chose the f/c/m platter. That turned out to be a good choice. My platter was laden with goat cheese, blue cheese, sharp cheddar, and swiss. Thinly sliced pepperoni and prosciutto were the meats. Fresh strawberries and grapes, along with some good crackers rounded it out. I had my first pint inside, in the warehouse setting tap room. Cool, industrial vibe. After that, I went outside on their patio to enjoy the nice evening in a deep Adirondack chair while I worked on my flight and platter. Before leaving I asked the bartender if they had any plans to expand their food offerings and was told 'no'. Sad, that! But the beer was great and the overall vibe of the place nice, so I'll be back!!

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could by over all the experience here is a nice breakaway from the mainstream choices found further into town. It is a bit out of the way but not to the point that it would bother you to drive there. I had some pizza and some samplers. Overall the two hop beer is the best! I even took home a growler back to Miami

Great IPA! This place will be really fun once it opens. Breezy patio with deep adirondack chairs for outdoor dining or a modern warehouse pub indoors. The nachos are not the greatest (yet- hopefully they will improve). They had that queso/ cheese whiz stuff instead of simple real melted cheese- a simple fix, if they are willing. they will need a few more people on staff to keep up with the crowds. Will definitely go back!

lower quality/domestic style beer here. If you want higher quality beer go to any other bar in the area with craft beer. I wish I could say something positive about the staff, the bartender was off-putting/disrespectful the guy that ran the food out actually dropped it on the table and it took over an hour to make two pizzas. I really wish I could think of a reason to go back. There are at least 8 other places in the area I would try before going back. If you do end up here there is a silver lining, they have a few beers on draft that they don't make in house.

Went yesterday late afternoon for my husbands birthday. A little disappointed they only had 4 of theirs on tap and 4 guest taps. He got a flight which consisted of their 4 brews. Bru Man Chu was his favorite. They do have some food, the menu yesterday was pizzas, turkey club, caesar salad, pretzel sticks with 2 sauces, and a cheese/meat platter. There is a nice outside area with tables and adirondack chairs. Would highly recommend.
